Born in Dublin and brought up in Northern Ireland .
Always driven and a keen desire to do his own thing, Tone Deft started his early music career at the age of 16 playing guitar and singing. He quickly progressed onto playing blues and jazz and became well known on the local pub circuit. He studied classical music for several years, in particular playing piano.
Over the past twenty-four years Tone Deft has played in numerous bands and venues in Europe and the U.S.A. He has played Lead guitar, Lead vocals and Bass guitar, during this period of advancement, Tone Deft studied and became a Sound Engineer. He worked in several studios engineering but soon realized that performing was his forte and became consumed with reaching his goal of being the Icon of the New Millennium . Over the past ten years he has had his fair share of troughs and triumphs, mostly troughs: knocked to the depths of despair, determination soon overcame any doubts to exalt Tone Deft back to where he belonged. During this period Tone Deft created his own Websites which consist of www.tonedeft.com and www.redmuzz.com which is his own record label, started over four years ago.
This is an artist that has lived and spent the last ten years writing eight albums with consummate belief and a goal to perform live and enlighten those that know and breathe MUSIC!. Not only appealing to a broad spectrum of music buff, he has diversified into many aspects of dance music. This is a talented artist who knows no boundaries!
For the past year, Tone Deft has been recording and mixing the backing tracks of his debut album in which he wants to record the guitar and vocals live in Europe . One of Tone Deft's extraordinary qualities is that he is an improvising musician and feels that he can only express his music to its full potential in front of a live audience. This is not your average artist!! This is an artist that has spent ten years perfecting and going beyond the boundaries of creativity.
As a result all the ground work has being prepared. All that remains is for Tone Deft to be discovered by that one ‘ Special ' person that will make the difference and open the door to the world.
